baby Eli

I was very excited to take Eli's newborn pictures.  He is such a cutie!  No sleeping pictures for this little guy, he was wide awake for the whole session.  After I got everything packed up, he then decided to fall asleep in Mommy's arms.

Thank you Shawn and Leah for letting me capture these special moments!  Enjoy

2011 Photo Challenge

This year I am challenging myself to a photo challenge.  I have a basket full of themes.  Every week in 2011 , I will pull out a theme and I am to shoot one or more photos expressing that theme.  I have asked friends and family to help come up with theme ideas for the basket.  They are all in there, even the most challenging ones and silly ones.  Follow my blog to join in the fun, also to encourage me to keep at it if i fall off the bandwagon somewhere along the road.

New Years

Arizona has now legalized fireworks!  Yup crazy as it sounds with the dry air and prone to forest fires.  With a house of 5 boys, there has to be some pyromaniacs around here.   What a better way to spend New Year's Eve than safe at home with your family, using fireworks to destroy gingerbread houses, and setting off
Big Bertha in the grass?
***no animals or children were harmed in taking of these pictures***

Splashing Through the Mud and Snow!

Arizona got pounded with snow last week.  Lots of sightings of flurries and a little sticking for a bit all over parts of Phoenix.  My family took an afternoon trip up to Prescott, Arizona to see the snow, play a little and freeze.  On the way up I made my husband pull over so I could take some pictures of the snow capped mountains here in the valley.  Well we found some mud puddles as well, and gotta let the boys play with their toys, RIGHT?

lesson learned.... make sure you close the moon roof before you go splashing in mud puddles!
