Alli 9 months

As you all know, my brother and sister-in-law moved away... 1600 miles away.. and took my cute adorable niece with them.  I did get to see her a few weeks ago, my grandfather passed so we drove out for the services.  The circumstances we not great, but I did get to see Allison.  We were very strapped for time, but I wanted to get some 9 month shots for Allison.  The morning we left I did a real quick 10 minute session with Alli at their home.  Still go a few great shots!

A Photo Prop put to its proper use

 

I went hunting for some umbrellas to use as photo props a few months back.  I don't think I have ever bought an umbrella in my life!  I had to ask where they were located in the store because I couldn't find them.  We took a last minute trip to Alabama for my Grandfather's funeral, and we they were expecting rain.  The only umbrellas I had were my props, so I threw them in the back of the truck.  Good thing too, because they were needed.  Clay got a kick out of the umbrella, I don't think he has ever held one before in the rain.  Carson also enjoyed the rain and was making some funny faces entertaining the photographer.

BUZZZZ

My husband came home from work today and saw a swarm of bees out by the mail box.  He called me and asked if I wanted to take some pictures of bees.  Silly question, but he knows me well!  The bees had begun to make a hive in the cover for where our water meter is, right by the mailbox and driveway.  Amazing to look at the honey comb up close and wonder how they made it.  The bees weren't very smart in choosing a location for their because my children walk by there several times a day, so we had to say bye-bye to those hard workers.  I did get some amazing pictures though before they all died.

Clay's 3 year Photo Shoot

For Clay's 3 year photo shoot, I was expecting, a lot of  "no picture me" with his hands in front 

of his face.  I had pre-planned to take him out several different times in order to get just a few good shots.  

Much to my surprise, he was extremely cooperative and we only needed to go out one time. 

It may have helped that we brought along a few of his "best friends" to take pictures with as well.  I also let him run the show, he told me where he wanted to sit and how his "friends" needed to be positioned, and I just gave my suggestions.  I even let him take a few pics of his "friends".
